Before You Start

You must create a Workspace in the Workspaces section before adding a device. The app will prompt you to select a workspace when pairing your device.

Go to Workspaces

Step 2: Install and Set Up Permissions

Install the APK

Open the downloaded APK file. If prompted, tap "Settings" and enable "Allow from this source", then return and tap "Install".

Enable Restricted Settings (Required for SMS)

Since EchoCue needs SMS permission, you must allow restricted settings:

Go to Settings > Apps > EchoCue
Tap the three-dot menu (top right corner)
Select "Allow restricted settings"
Confirm with your PIN, pattern, or fingerprint

Grant SMS Permission

Open the EchoCue app and grant SMS permission when prompted. Alternatively, go to Settings > Apps > EchoCue > Permissions > SMS and select "Allow".

Create a Workspace First

Before pairing your device, make sure you have created at least one Workspace in the Workspaces section. You'll need to select a workspace when adding your device.

Open the app, sign in with your EchoCue account, and follow the pairing instructions. You'll be asked to select a project when connecting your device.

Why these permissions are needed

EchoCue sends SMS messages on your behalf through your phone. Android requires explicit permission for apps installed outside the Play Store to access SMS. Your messages and data remain private and secure.
